(although depending on how many speakers you intend to connect, take note of the available output ports. If you intend to use surround sound speakers AND a microphone at the same time, I'd suggest a 5-port card instead of the 3-port ones) |

| well my soundcard totally stopped working, couldnt even get the volume control on windows to work, (it was greyed out) So i did a bunch of things which didnt work, I uninstalled the hardware and re-installed (on windows device manager) and I think that may have done it. So its fixed now, thanks for the replies |
